To serve you even better in the future!
Within shortly, we will be implementing a new Terminal Operating System (TOS) at Uniport. With this software we can further optimize our processes, planning and administration for your convenience. The new TOS goes live in the weekend of 27 and 28 October 2018. What does this mean for you?
No operational activities in the weekend of 27 and 28 October 2018
In the weekend of 27 and 28 October, we temporarily have to stop our operational activities. This gives us the opportunity to implement our new TOS, to establish the system interfaces with our customers, with Customs and Portbase and to extensively test all processes.
Read this letter to learn what this means for you.
Re-configuration of your EDI connection before 27 October!
In the weekend of 27 and 28 October 2018 Uniport will be switching to a new Terminal Operating System (TOS). This means that we will have to reconfigure our existing EDI connection with you. Our new business rules and message specifications are available now. These will automatically take effect as soon as we have switched to our new TOS. Read the complete news in our letter.
What do we need from you?
- Download our new business rules here.
- Do you have any questions or suggestions regarding these business rules? Or do you disagree? Please inform us as soon as possible via firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Submit us the name, telephone number and e-mail address of your central point of contact within your IT department before 1 October 2018 via email@example.com. This enables us to deliver our EDI test messages to your organization and to send further information to the right contact person.
- Here you can download the specifications of the standard COARRI and CODECO messages that our new TOS will send to your organization as per go live. These messages differ from the current Uniport EDI messages. We therefore request you to test this thoroughly before the weekend of 27 and 28 October!
What changes for you as per 29 October 2018?
Central pre-notification via Portbase
From Monday 29 October 2018 at 7:00 am you can only pre-notify your cargo, visit and customs documentation via the Port Community System of Portbase. This applies to both import and export cargo, truck and barge. Uniport uses the following Portbase services:
In this way, you can plan each visit optimally and you will be finished quicker at our terminal.
New customer portal
Prior to the implementation of our new Terminal Operating System (TOS), we will introduce a new customer portal on 22 October 2018. In this letter we explain what this new customer environment has to offer you. You can reach our new Uniport customer portal via https://webportal.uniport.nl
First arrange access
Before we start, we first have to grant access to your organization. In order to do so, we need your help. Please mail us the name, e-mail address and telephone number of your two main users via firstname.lastname@example.org before 19 October 2018. After receipt, our IT department will contact them directly. These main users ultimately control the access and access rights of all your users.
Terminal reports available
We can send you various reports from our new TOS. Read here which reports we have available for you. Please advise us before 17 October 2018 which colleague wants to receive which report. You can inform us via email@example.com.
Improved OCR portals
In August 2018, our OCR portals were replaced as one of the first steps towards our new TOS. With these improved images, we can further optimize the process.
What are we working on?
With the implementation of our new TOS, we are also introducing a new gate process for truck drivers, a new gate control system, a new EDI portal and a new invoicing system. We also optimized our self-service pedestals. More information will follow within shortly.
