During the almost 40 years of existence of Uniport her Terminal in Rotterdam was expanded from year to year and upgraded to the latest standards. Uniport can offer excellent service and conditions for Worldwide Container Shipping Lines.Management and Shareholders have their offices in Rotterdam since 2004, thanks to which important decisions can be taken within a short notice.

Port information
The Terminals Pier 5,6 & 7 at Waalhaven basin are situated in the city area of the Port of Rotterdam, but at only 13 miles from the North Sea. Our terminals are easily accessable from the North Sea in all weather.The Terminals are safe port facilities. Thanks to the Port’s advanced traffic management system, comprising a chain of traffic control centers and radar stations, Rotterdam has one of the safest port approaches in the world, and there are no restrictions by locks, bridges or tidal differences. Being inland as Pier 5,6 & 7, Waalhaven, the European market is within arm’s reach. Therefore Uniport is ideally situated to service the whole European market. 100% service during 24 hours per day/7 days a week is offered.

Operational Information
Uniport is offering a reliable and professional service. Several hundreds of well-trained and motivated own employees deliver tailor-made solutions around the clock. Our employees translate customer’s instructions and wishes into efficient services.Uniport is offering short times for delivery and pick up of containers, even during loading and discharging of Container Vessels.As extra service for our customers Uniport has an own Container Freight Station (CFS) for stuffing and stripping of containers at her terminal.

Uniport facilities have been designed to accommodate Worldwide Container Vessels, Feeder Vessels and Shortsea Vessels and meet the required standards of performance. Uniport is offering the required handling speed, flexibility, reliability and efficiency. All the modalities for efficient European transport are available in the immediate vicinity: �

• For feedering: Feedervessels and Short Sea vessels are our own customers for a part: Uniport is their hometerminal.Other feeder/Short Sea vessels are regularly calling our terminal for loading and/or discharging part-cargoes.
• For inland shipping: Uniport has an integrated barge terminal. All regular inland shipping barges are regularly calling our Terminal.
• For rail transport: Uniport has 2 railtracks of each 600 m to receive blocktrains
• For road Transport: Uniport has excellent services for road trucks (for your information: abt. 60% of all containers are loaded on truck/discharged from truck in Rotterdam)
• Customhouse authorities and a customscan are located at our terminals.

Strategic location
Moreover there are excellent possibilities for additional logistic services.In the Waalhaven area, where Uniport has its Container Terminal, you can find a lot of distribution centers. Also coldstores and Auctions are situated in the direct surroundings of our Terminal. A number of Empty Depots/Repairshops are also situated in the Waalhaven-area. One of the Empty Depots is even on the same Pier (Pier 6), some other Empty Depots are located at a distance of 2-3 km from our Container Terminal.

Customs and ICT
Uniport is offering Custom-house services: R.T.O. and E.C.S. (new EDI-system, introduced by the Dutch Custom-house Authorities, and regulated by Brussels)Moreover Uniport is preparing to receive an AEO-status (Authorized Economic Operator) of the Dutch Custom-house Authorities in 2010.Customhouse authorities and a customscan are located at our terminal.Our operating department is using the Cosmos Software System and the latest technologies in ICT. Tracking and tracing is possible through Internet access around the clock. Further Uniport is connected with Portbase for general EDI-services and Custom-house EDI-services. Uniport has fully automatic desks.
